It’s time for the big game, but it doesn’t have to be a day in which you fall completely off of the wagon! You can enjoy the Super Bowl, big game treats and snacks, and still remain keto. It really isn’t as hard as it may seem. Today I want to present you some great Keto Super Bowl Party snacks.
Everyone loves wings and they are a great party snack. They are fairly easy to make and you can easily make a lot of them. You also have numerous options for how to prepare them. We made half with traditional buffalo sauce and half with a butter garlic sauce. We also enjoy them with a simple rub.
Find something without MSGs, high sugar, or high fructose corn syrup. This can be a little difficult. We ended up with Texas Pete hot sauce and simply added butter to it in a sauce pan over medium heat to create our own wing sauce. This also gives you control over the amount heat you want. The butter-garlic sauce was that simple. We mixed some minced garlic with butter!
Traditional rubs are loaded with brown sugar. I like to make my own and it really is just as simple. Mix your favorite keto-friendly sweetener (I like Monk fruit), paprika, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a small bowl. Add as much of each as you like until you achieve the desired flavor.
These use a modified fat head dough and make little pizza pinwheels. You can’t go wrong with anything pizza at a Super Bowl party right? The nice thing about these is that they are bite size as opposed to having to make full pizzas and serve them by the slice. You can find the recipe to these here.
Cheese Chips and Guacamole
Chips and dip is a natural big game party food, but traditional chips are full of carbs and cooked in processed oils. Instead, make your own chips out of cheese and serve with guacamole (or any other favorite keto dip). You can find our recipe for cheese chips here.
We combine 2 avocados and 2 Tbsp of full-fat, plain Greek yogurt with diced red onion, minced garlic, cilantro, lime juice, salt, and cumin. This is a simple recipe that all enjoy. Combine with cheese chips and it is sure to be a hit!
Jalapeño peppers filled with cream cheese and cheddar and then wrapped in bacon. This has to be the ultimate party snack. Serve these to your guests and they are sure to fly off the plate!
Chocolate Covered Cheesecake Bites
Okay, now I have saved the best for last. Of course you need a sweet treat at your Super Bowl party and what could be better than cheesecake bites? Chocolate-covered cheesecake bites of course! Once again, these are simple to make and the bite-sized nature of them makes them perfect for a party.
Making the Cheesecake bites:
- 16 ounces of Cream Cheese (2 blocks)
- 1/2 Cup Swerve Confectioners
- 2 tsp Vanilla extract
Mix ingredients, add to parchment lined 8×8 container, place in freezer for 1 hour or until firm.
- Melt down Lily’s Chocolate chips or 85% dark chocolate bar
Roll the firm cheesecake bites in the melted chocolate.
Not only do each of these snacks work great for a Super Bowl party, you will keep your carbs relatively low and your fat very high. Plus, all your non-keto friends won’t know the difference. They will simply enjoy the game and the great food! Who knows, maybe you will even convince someone that eating healthy isn’t as hard as it may seem!
